God created us in His likeness and Image but not His just-alikeness.  When Moses
asked God to describe himself, the reply was, “I Am That I Am”.  God, being infinite does
not exist in time, therefore, to understand his statement one must take the concept of
time out of it.   God is because He is.

God, not having created mankind as perfect beings, gave him freewill to choose.  No
spiritual being can abrogate this mandate.  Freewill implies choices and choices made
by imperfect beings imply wrong and right choices.  Man’s inexperience causes him to
make poor choices and his inner guiding light (Thought Adjuster [conscience]) tends to
lead him toward better decisions.

Spiritual Gravity pulls the faith sons and daughters inward on an ever-uplifting journey
toward spiritual perfection.

P.76 - §6 Spiritually the Eternal Son is omnipresent. The spirit of the Eternal Son is most
certainly with you and around you, but not within you and a part of you like the Mystery
Monitor. The indwelling Father fragment adjusts the human mind to progressively divine
attitudes, whereupon such an ascending mind becomes increasingly responsive to the
spiritual drawing power of the all-powerful spirit-gravity circuit of the Second Source and
Center.

P.82 - §5 Spirit-gravity pull and response thereto operate not only on the universe as a
whole but also even between individuals and groups of individuals. There is a spiritual
cohesiveness among the spiritual and spiritized personalities of any world, race, nation,
or believing group of individuals. There is a direct attractiveness of a spirit nature
between spiritually minded persons of like tastes and longings. The term kindred spirits
is not wholly a figure of speech.

The Urantia Book was written by high spiritual entities and they could not tell us to read
the Book from the beginning.  However, page 215 reads as follows:

P.215 - §1 In this connection, however, it may be noted that Teacher Sons are the
supreme co-coordinating personalities of Trinity origin. In such a far-flung universe of
universes there is always great danger of succumbing to the error of the circumscribed
viewpoint, to the evil inherent in a segmentalized conception of reality and divinity.

P.215 - §2 For example: The human mind would ordinarily crave to approach the cosmic
philosophy portrayed in these revelations by proceeding from the simple and the finite to
the complex and the infinite, from human origins to divine destinies. But that path does
not lead to spiritual wisdom. Such a procedure is the easiest path to a certain form of
genetic knowledge, but at best it can only reveal man's origin; it reveals little or nothing
about his divine destiny.

P.215 - §3 Even in the study of man's biologic evolution on Urantia, there are grave
objections to the exclusive historic approach to his present-day status and his current
problems. The true perspective of any reality problem--human or divine, terrestrial or
cosmic--can be had only by the full and unprejudiced study and correlation of three
phases of universe reality: origin, history, and destiny. The proper understanding of
these three experiential realities affords the basis for a wise estimate of the current
status.

P.215 - §4 When the human mind undertakes to follow the philosophic technique of
starting from the lower to approach the higher, whether in biology or theology, it is
always in danger of committing four errors of reasoning:

P.215 - §5 1. It may utterly fail to perceive the final and completed evolutionary goal of
either personal attainment or cosmic destiny.

P.215 - §6 2. It may commit the supreme philosophical blunder by oversimplifying cosmic
evolutionary (experiential) reality, thus leading to the distortion of facts, to the
perversion of truth, and to the misconception of destinies.

P.215 - §7 3. The study of causation is the perusal of history. But the knowledge of how
a being becomes does not necessarily provide an intelligent understanding of the
present status and true character of such a being.

P.215 - §8 4. History alone fails adequately to reveal future development--destiny. Finite
origins are helpful, but only divine causes reveal final effects. Eternal ends are not
shown in time beginnings. The present can be truly interpreted only in the light of the
correlated past and future.

P.215 - §9 Therefore, because of these and for still other reasons, do we employ the
technique of approaching man and his planetary problems by embarkation on the time-
space journey from the infinite, eternal, and divine Paradise Source and Center of all
personality reality and all cosmic existence.

When man tries to go from the simple to the complex, that is man reaching up to God.
God reaches down to man by going from the complex to the simple.

Pure readers of the Urantia Book understand that no human can write in the way the
Urantia Book text is structured.
